As a student I had many teachers who helped me grow into the person I am today. They believed in me even when I didn’t. They taught me I could always do better. They installed a love of education and history that’s impels me to this very day. As a teacher my goal is to provide a positive and nurturing classroom where they too can grow and succeed like my teachers did for me.

      As a historian my goal is to teach students practical information and use the past to understand the modern world. To do this we will use primary and secondary sources to develop their own opinion and thoughts. Students will discuss these ideas to challenge and grow from each other’s perspectives. Technology will play and important roll inside of my classroom and students will become proficient with using the internet responsibly. We will accomplish this by judging sources and using common since to figure out whether or not to trust information gathered there. This will help them in their daily lives and in our classroom studying history. We too shall study the modern world by looking back to our pasts and understand why and how things happened. This will allow students to better understand and connect with the past themselves, hopefully sparking a love for history. As a classroom we shall learn and grow together as there’s as there is much I can learn from my students.
